On April 26, one of the participatory activities with olive growers and olive growers took place in Andújar (Jaén, Spain). This session is part of the tasks associated with the work package WP6 within the SUSTAINOLIVE project, which aims to facilitate the implementation of sustainable practices in olive groves.
In this activity, the ecosystem services provided by olive groves and their typologies were presented, and attendees were invited to discover what contributions nature offers in this type of agroecosystem.
During the talk, each participant shared their vision of these services, which gave rise to an exchange of knowledge and experiences among all.
In addition, this activity is intended to generate a greater connection with nature. Selenia Vera Rodríguez, a student of Environmental Sciences at the University of Jaén (Spain), is doing her final degree project on the importance and repercussion of these participatory activities and environmental training in increasing the Nature connectedness through the knowledge of ecosystem services approach.
