On December 9, the Third International Symposium on Olive Oil and Health began, organized by the University of Jaén and the University of Yale. More than 150 experts from Spain, the United States, Greece, Portugal, Italy, Egypt, Tunisia, Germany, Israel, the United Kingdom, Japan and Argentina have gathered at this meeting. Several SUSTAINOLIVE partners have taken part in the event with presentations and sessions on the growing demand for sustainability in the olive grove and the growing interest in preserving the environment, natural resources and responsible consumption. The Symposium has been planned as a scientific and rigorous forum in which the latest advances in research projects such as SUSTAINOLIVE, coordinated by Professor Roberto García of the University of Jaén, have been made known, which delve into technologically sustainable practices to face the challenges of climate change and the improvement of the environment in the Mediterranean olive grove.
